I am Mohiuddin Abdul Qader. I am now working at eBay Inc. in developing (research, designing and coding)
massively scalable distributed storage and next-generation geo-distributed database platform, mostly focusing on
architecture design, consensus-based replication and data indexing of distributed services on Kubernetes (ebay
tess.io).
I recently graduated with a Doctorate degree from the
Database Lab at UC
Riverside under the supervision of Dr.
Vagelis Hristidis! My PhD
thesis focused on
I/O optimization in Big Data Storage
Systems. Most of my work emphasizes on
Log Structured Merge (LSM) tree based storage
systems.
Background
I was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I obtained my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. After graduation, I joined
Reve System Ltd. as a Software Engineer. I completed my
masters in Computer Science in 2015 from University of California, Riverside.
I did summer internship at VMware Inc. vSphere Storage team and vCenter R&D team in 2015 and 2016 respectively
and at Ebay Research for Summer 2017.
