I want to give you plenty of time to write the exam, and I want to make sure each person does their own work. So, I am not going to give a take-home, but I will try to make sure everyone has plenty of time.
UCR has officially scheduled the exam for Sat. Dec. 11, 8:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m. in the room in which the class meets. ( see http://www.students.ucr.edu/schedule/fall2004/finalexams.html )
I am hoping (as of Nov 29) to offer the exam sometime before this at a time when everyone can make it. I will discuss this further in class on Tuesday Nov 30 and on the mailing list.
