Currently, I am a visiting student at the University of California, Riverside, advised by Tao Jiang. I received B.E. in Computer Science and Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, P.R. China in July, 2003. Since the fall of 2003 I have been pursuing my Ph.D. in Computer Science at SJTU, advised by Bao-Liang Lu.
My research interests include Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition. More specifically, I work on feature selection and classification of protein sequences, as applications to protein subcellular localization and remote homology detection; non-coding RNA discovery.
