Where is that darn trail?
The Tunnel Trail (or whatever is left of it) is located in the east part of the San Gorgonio Wilderness, within a few miles from, ahem, the factory outlets in Cabazon. The trail is very infrequently used and not maintained anymore. The trailhead is about 5 miles west off Cabazon (on a dirt road). The trail ends in the riverbed of Whitewater river. It's about 4 miles of relatively easy hiking, except that in some places it is difficult to find where the trail actually is, so add a little bit of time for getting lost.
