An extra five points for not complaining

The TA Development Program (TADP) has at times suggested the policy of giving students students five points ``for not complaining,'' which get taken away if the student ever asks for a regrade of their exam. Most faculty find that policy objectionable.

A somewhat more defensible policy would be to totally re-evaluate the assignment or exam. For each questions the score may go up, or down, or stay the same.
