Retention of student work

With disk storage selling for a dollar per gigabyte and dropping fast, there's nothing to worry about. The Tech Staff is already implementing a policy of permanent on-line retention of all student work captured by the turnin system, which requires about $5 per quarter worth of disk space. The disk space requirements for document images are a non-issue. Say we capture 100 pages per year from each of 1000 students at a megabyte per page; that would be 100 gigabytes (i.e., $100 worth) of disk space per year.
